New reporter information sheet
Adapted from worksheets made by past editors of The Roar (some pieces of this sheet are taken directly from older worksheets)
Our printing schedule required that new reporters be assigned to an article the day of our first meeting. I put together an information sheet that my freshman self would have loved — it contains basic, step-by-step article-writing instructions and provides each editor's contact information.
Checklists: laying a page and writing an article
Halfway through the volume, I felt our Senior Section Editors starting to slip — articles and pages were coming into us messy and half-finished. I created these checklists to give editors concrete editing examples so little things would be fixed before content reach Senior Staff.
